Did you know that rowing works 86% of your muscles? At Rō Fitness, every day is a new workout and every week is a different theme. All workouts follow the intensity you bring to them. Show up, bring the best you have for the day, and Rō sets up the rest!

All classes are open to Team Survivor members, and showers are available at both locations. Book ahead, classes can fill up fast.


Cardio Rō

These signature classes consist of short rowing intervals and follow a 4-week program: Pace Week, Meter Week, Burn Week, and Speed Week. Jump in on any week and enjoy an ever-changing, always challenging workout. Burn Week is known for longer sets, shorter rests and tougher challenges. However, workouts follow the intensity you bring to them and your coach can help you make adjustments. All levels, including beginners, are welcome. 


Cardio Rō on the Balcony

The signature Cardio Rō class, with a view! Get a full-body workout while overlooking scenic Lady Bird Lake, located in the heart of Austin. Class takes place outside on the shaded balcony of the Waller Creek Boathouse, weather permitting. In case of rain and when temps drop below 40 or rise above 95 degrees, class is inside the Boathouse.


Long and Low Rō

This class style utilizes lower stroke rates and slightly longer sets, bringing the intensity down a notch but the burn up a notch. The slower tempo brings a more meditative experience to flush out and get sweaty! The class is great for beginners seeking a slower tempo to keep up with, but it can also challenge all levels through Rō's "race yourself" setup where you can compete against your own stats.

How to attend Rō Fitness classes
  1. Email Rō Fitness to link a Team Survivor pass to your account. They will confirm your membership with us, which can take a few days.
  2. Once membership is confirmed, Rō will email you with instructions on how to create your account without needing a credit card on file.
  3. Using your new account, register for a class on their online schedule.
  4. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class start time to get set up. PRō tip for your first visit: Arrive early so your coach can go over the class details and form, ensuring you have the best first class experience.

Parking at the downtown location: Note there is no public parking lot at the Waller Creek Boathouse. Rō Fitness recommends the metered parking along downtown streets, or the Austin Convention Center parking garage at 201 East 2nd St.
