Lauryn Sires, MS, CWC, PMA CPT
An overuse injury fueled by a pelvic misalignment led Lauryn to Pilates in 2001. It was so different than any fitness program she had previously encountered. Her passion was ignited and she committed to becoming a comprehensively certified Pilates trainer. In 2009 Lauryn was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her choices included a double mastectomy and reconstruction. This transformative experience encouraged her to look for ways to assist herself and her clients in reaching their full potential of a healthy body and mind. In 2011 Lauryn became a certified WellCoachR.

Nikkol started indoor cycling when she began her weight-loss journey and it was love at first Spin! In 2009, she wanted to give back to others and got her Mad Dogg Spinning Certification and group exercise certified through AFAA. “I love being able to give back to such a great group of friends and survivors who know that they have truly survived some hard times in life and are ready to get back to moving and bettering themselves through fitness.” Nikkol’s mom passed away from cancer and she feels working with CTTS is the least she can do. “I am truly inspired by every CTTS member I have met.”

Lathi Sticks Instructor
Ritchie Mintz — Lathi (la`tee) in Hindi means bamboo stick. It is the ancient martial art of Indian bamboo stick fighting. In the 1970’s, while in Boulder, Ritchie trained as practitioner of Rolfing® Structural Integration. Many clients asked what they could do to enhance their Rolfing® work. The natural movement of Lathi seemed a perfect match for the freedom and vitality of Rolfing®. Now in Austin, Ritchie brings 40 years of experience to bodies and movement. He has made a lifelong study of the after effects of cancer and treatment. Ritchie thanks CTTS for the privilege of serving the community. Nidra feels fortunate to have been involved with Team Survivor since 2007 coaching Run/Walk each spring for Triathlon training. Her coaching philosophy has always been it doesn’t matter how fast you go, just that you go. Start by putting one foot in front of the other and pretty soon the sky is the limit for what you can achieve. Her goal for each group is to create an environment that encourages and at the same time challenges participants.
Nidra began running over 10 years ago starting with 5K’s and working her way up to marathons. When she is not running, you can find her at a UT football game, listening to live music or baking something yummy.
